Deed*T. bought property at Swift Creek, Pitt County, North Carolina, on 02/27/1888. On this day, Warren sold an undisclosed amount of land to T.G. James for $30. Warren originally acquired this land on January 15, 1878, from the mortgage holder, F. Patrick & Son, when John Tripp defaulted on the mortgage. The land was described as having been owned by John Tripp who obtained it from his father, Hardee Tripp, and the land was known as Arthur Tripp Land. The deed is recorded at the Pitt County Courthouse in Greenville, North Carolina in Deed Book Y4, Page 261. John Tripp was the brother of Warren's wife, Cennetta, Hardee Tripp was Cennetta's father and Arthur Tripp was her grandfather. Warren must have bought the land in 1878 and let John Tripp continue to live on it.

In either 1807 or 1809 (both appear in the record), " Cannon Smith, sheriff of Pitt County, exposed to public sale the goods & chattles lands and tenements Adams McGlohon senr." Adam had been convicted of a judgment by Charles Jenkins against him for a debt of 94 pounds 18 shillings plus 4 pounds 12 shillings adjudged for taxes and cost in the suit. Charles Jenkins bought the "tract of land... being the Estate of Adams McGlohon" for $175, being the highest bidder. This land adjoined Benjamin Blount's patent, Fredrick Mills, Joshua Nobles, Charles Harriss and Griffin patent. The deed was not registered until the November term of court in 1817.

The deed is recorded in Deed Book AA, page 28 at the Pitt County Courthouse in Greenville, North Carolina.
