"To Criston people to whom these presents shall come I SARAH CANAREDO of Linhaven in the County of Lower Norfolk widow send greeting in our Lord God Everlasting Know yea that I SARAH CANAREDO for the love and affection that I Doe Beare unto EDWARD CANNON my son I the said SARAH being in perfect memory-have given granted and by this presnt writing doe fully freely & Absolutely give grant & confirm unto the said EDWARD CANNON my son a parcel of land which I the said SARAH CANAREDO bought of JOSIAH TOWNSEND lying situate and being on the Eastern Shore of Linhaven River marked and bounded as is Specified & Declared in a Bill of Sale of the said land made & delivered unto mee the said SARAH CANAREDO from and by the aforesd: JOSIAH TOWNSEND, together wilth all and singular the houses or housing orchard & orchards and All singular what growes the priviledges appurtenances & conveniences to the foresaid land belonging of what kind, nature or ____ soever the same may bee, Excepting a living that I the said SARAH CANAREDO doe retaine Reserve & keep in my owne power during my life liberty to build a house or houses and to live upon any part thereof a such?___ to mack use of what fruit I shall have occassion or nead for during my life without any lett troubles or molestations from or by him the said EDWARD CANNON oe any person or persons whatsoever, To have hold tacke possession & enjoy the said land with all the aforesaid privileges thereunto belonging except before excepted, unto him the aforesaid EDWARD CANNON and his heires from henceforth & forever without any manner of claime challenges or demand whatevr of or by any person or p'sons whatever: But if the said EDWARD CANNON my son shall die a single man or being married without issue of his own body lawfully begotten & I the said, SARAH CANAREDO surviving him the said land with all the Aforesaid premises, shall return into my possession as now it is Before the sealing and delivery of the presents, only his wife surviving him to have and possess the excepting Always the aforesaid esception, with the aforesaid premises during her life. And if the said EDWARD CANNON my son After my Decease shall Die without heires of his owne Body, then shall the said land with all the aforesd premises, after his wife (if surviving him, her life tyme to the true & Lawfull possession of EDWARD CANNON eldest son: to my son THOMAS CANNON or of his heires: of which land and all and Singular the premises aforesd: I the said SARAH CANAREDO have putt the sd: EDWARD CANNON in full and peacable; possession the day of the date of these presents in witness whereof I have hereunto sett my Hand & Seale this tenth Day of Apri in the yeare of our Lord God 1680--
