They were Messers Jesse Vincent and Reuben Kinsaul, both of Beaver Dam township. Mr. Vincent is now in his 84th year and was member of the 8th North Carolina regiment under Col. E. C. Yellowley, and fought through the entire four years of the civil war. Mr. Kinsual is in his 83rd year and was a member of the 44th North Carolina regiment under Col. George B. Singletary, and was in the war three-and-a-half years. Both of these veterans are remarkably preserved for their advanced years..1 |
